It has been a dream of mine to see Stevie Nicks perform since I was 17. I am now 43 and the dream became a reality on Saturday 25 February 2006 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. I was overwhelmed with joy the tears just would not stop! How can one person have so much power over so many? For me it is her timeless voice and beauty of the lyrics, music, and of the soul that is Stevie. I am just a speck in the world, you will never know me but know that your beauty as a singer and person has touched me so much as well as so many others. Thank you Stevie and keep on your journey until the journey ends. xxx

It was a privilege to see Stevie perform in Sydney. A wonderful show that literally rocked from start to finish. I doubt she has ever sung better and her voice was so strong (and magical of course). Highlights were a new arrangement of Rhiannon, Sorcerer, Fall from Grace and two I’ve never heard done better, Outside the Rain & Landslide. To continue writing such great music & performing so brilliantly in your 50’s in an additional inspiration. Thank you Stevie & come back soon, please.

Just a short note about Stevie Nicks - love her, always will. It was my wifes first solo concert and she was mesmerised from go to whao. Another pleasant feature was that Waddy played within himself and not over the top as he tends to do. The event got little coverage before or after the event in Sydney papers - shame on them for not acknowledging the greatest female performer/songwriter of my era, if not of all time. A concert ticket - $150, a t-shirt -$45, Stevie Nicks on Saturday - priceless !!!!!!!!

Stevie, you are fantastic! I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you! I was at your Sydney show and it is the most amazing thing I have ever been to. Thank you so much for coming to Australia. We really appreciate it. And if you ever come out again (maybe you and Sheryl crow could come together) I will be there with bells on! Stevie, you are ‘bloody’ awesome!
Karen
I need to write this email and thank Stevie Nicks for the most moving and wonderful concert. I was very sceptical about going to this concert after seeing her last solo Sydney performance. She was always my idol and that concert left me devestated and deterimined not to ever see her live again. For my birthday my mother gave me a concert ticket and for that I will be forever grateful. Love you Stevie Nicks, you are my inspiration and I am proud of you!

I was lucky enough to go to Stevie’s concert in Sydney on 25 Feb. It was especially good because 2004 and 2005 had been two very difficult years for me while I struggled with depression and even a suicide attempt. Throughout that time I had Stevie and her music as my inspiration to get better. I’ve even started singing along with her again. I’d only bought tickets in January because I decided that I just had to see her. My uncle was happy to go with me but didn’t know a lot of her songs, only the big ones. He had a great time. To make my experience even more special and meaningful to me I got dressed up. That was me in platform boots, black cape and lots of jewellery. Vanessa Carlton was fabulous. I can see why Stevie has her as the support artist, another singer who writes her own songs, tells a story and has an extremely strong and beautiful voice. She held the audience with just her voice and piano. A very special, delightful young lady that I’m now a fan of. From the time Stevie set foot on stage and the crowd erupted, she was enchanting and fantastic. I sat glued to me seat for the next hour and a half or so. I have only seen her with Fleetwood Mac twice when they toured here over the years, but I have loved her since my teens. Stevie gets better with each passing year. Hard to believe she is 57, the same age as my parents. I was thrilled with Rhiannon, especially as she sang the little intro verse and then rocked the roof down with the rest. I missed Enchanted in the set. I loved Has Anyone…, so very beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Stand back has always been a huge favourite and Stevie blasted it out of this world – I had it played at my 21st, that’s going back for me. My uncle said it was one of his favourite of the night. I cried during Beautiful Child, I love this song and was thrilled it was in the set. Fall from Grace was fabulous. Gold Dust Woman was fabulous. I loved Landslide and Edge of Seventeen, unbelievable. Rock and Roll was great and I loved her hat. To top everything off she finished with Beauty and the Beast and more tears from me. I did miss I Can’t Wait and Talk to Me, two fantastic rock songs. I left feeling on top of the world. I’d seen Stevie in solo concert and she put on a show that surpassed all my expectations and I will remember for life. My uncle said it was the best $130 he’d never spent..lol..(I paid for the tickets). Stevie doesn’t need any gimmicks, or dancers for her to put on a show – just her presence, voice, unbelievable songs, a few spins and shawl changes and everyone is deliriously happy. I sat in awe as I watched and sang along. It was great to see Sharon and Lori back together again – they mesh with Stevie’s voice so fantastically. Thank you Stevie for helping me through the last two years and helping me to sing along again. Please come back soon because we love you. I can’t wait to get the DVD and CD of the Melbourne concert with the MSO.

My third and final gig of my Stevie getaway. Another brilliant performance. Fall From Grace and Stand Back continue to be my favourite performances in the set. The way Stevie twirls and that voice are absolutely mind blowing. However the highlight at this particular concert for me was Beauty and the Beast. She performed with such passion, grace and emotion. A big thank you for bringing the wonderful Gold Dust tour to Australia and for bringing the gorgeous Vanessa Carlton with you. I hope another tour won't be to far away.
Sophia
The show was great. Vintage Stevie but better than ever. I would love the next time that Stevie came to Sydney that she played in a smaller venue like the Opera House, Enmore or State Theatre with the music stripped right back; maybe an acoustic set. It would be great to really hear her perform like that.
Cynthia
Hello Stevie, My name is Cynthia, I am 24 and I feel so blessed to have seen you perform in Sydney on the 25th February 2006. THANK YOU!!! Your show was so much fun and it was a great opportunity to get dressed up! All the band members were friendly and fantastic and Waddy Watchel was excellent with the guitar! It would be such an honour to work with such talented people! The night was really special to me as my mother came to the concert as well and it is wonderful memory that we will always treasure together. We listen to your music at least once a day and we couldn’t wait for your concert. I am just sad that it’s over now! In the audience, we met several mothers and their daughters that came to your show together! It just shows how your music has inspired our generation as well as bringing families and friends together! Stevie, you truly have a unique gift – You are exactly what this world needs! Thank you again for the special night and I hope you like the Tamborine I made for you! Lots of Love!

P.S: Thank you to the lady at the Entertainment Centre that let me go to the front gate to enable me to give the Tamborine to Stevie Nick’s assistant and thank you to a fellow fan Shayne who had a lovely Chinese dinner with me and my mother!
Susan
Fantastic concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only (slight) regret was that Stevie didn't sing "Sara". Otherwise, simply wonderful

I was fortunate enough to experience Stevie Nicks live for the first time in my life last night. As I sit here trying to explain how magical it was, the words coming to mind just don’t seem to do her or her crew justice. Stevie – you rock. It’s that simple. My friends and I thought we were lucky enough to score tickets 5 rows from the front, however before the show even began we found ourselves chanting and screaming at the front of the stage. Stevie was absolutely beautiful in every way from start to finish. The rock songs rocked, and the ballads were sensational. I was thrilled to hear her live version of ‘Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You’, an all-time favourite of mine. I’m always a little skeptical when artists finish a show with a ballad, however when Stevie sang ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to finish the concert any doubts I had were gone. It was also great to see Lori back up on stage, and I must also mention Vanessa Carlton – I was pleasantly surprised by her attitude, charisma and talent. Great work, Stevie – let’s do it again soon, eh?

Well I thought I was the only one to have thought this, but it has been said before (concert reviews) that Stevie IS THE BEST FEMALE SINGER / SONG WRITER IN THE WORLD. I was blown away again by your performance. I was at the Fleetwood Mac concert in Sydney 2004 which Lindsay was unbelievable and you Lady just blew me away with that incredible voice. Thank you for coming to Australia and I seriously hope you come again. I adore you.

From the moment Stevie came on stage I knew we were in for a special night. Stevie is the most amazingly talented songwriter and singer and to see her performing live is an experience to remember. Her stage presence, grace and totally unique voice are something I have always loved about her. The set list was great. Highlights for me being "Fall From Grace", "Edge of Seventeen", "Stand Back" and the hauntingly beautiful "Beauty and The Beast". I also loved Stevie's version of Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll". Stevie's band were excellent. It is hard to not make comparisons to the sheer brilliance of Lindsey, Mick and John but this would not be fair. Her band are world class musicians in their own right. If I had any criticism of the concert it would be of the sound mix at times. During some of the rock numbers the sound mix was a bit distorting and the band tended to be too loud over Stevie. I saw Fleetwood Mac at the same venue in 2004 and the sound was flawless, so I expected the same. After the concert I waited for over an hour along with around 200 people behind the security fence at the Entertainment Centre for a final glimpse of the lady whose music and performing has meant so much to me for so many years. When Stevie did come out she stopped, acknowledged the crowd, waving and smiling, which was very much appreciated us all. Thank you, Stevie, for bringing your magical tour to Australia. You have a loyal and supportive fan base here and we so hope that you can return to us again soon.

Hey Stevie, you looked like an angel. your performance was absolutely wonderful. i had front row tickets and i enjoyed it all so much.i have a couple of really good pictures of you when you were singing rhiannon, and when you stood there with your arms open with the shawl on you looked just like an angel. i was very dissappointed when that girl yelled at you saying you were a sexy b***H you are a sexy woman. i have dubbed you the goddess of rock in my world and i will never forget that concert. thank you for coming to sydney i was however a little upset that you didnt sing my all time favourite song Silver Springs. but the concert was wonderful, thanks again stevie you are the queen of music......... from your biggest fan (aside from the 77 year old)lol

Stevie was brilliant, absolutely captivating from beginning to end.

Hi Everyone. I saw Stevie at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on the 25th February. I have also been fortunate enough to see Stevie at her Rock A Little Tour which required a lot of tears and tantrums before my Father would take me and Fleetwood Mac's Mask Tour which I was old enough to attend with a friend. Stevie's concert was wonderful. I thought (and I could be wrong) that Stevie seemed tired, no doubt from a hectic schedule, but she gave us what she could physically give. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was great to be included in such an adoring audience. it was like we were all on a natural 'high'.I was anyway. When Stevie first came out onto the stage everyone went hysterical with excitement.it was electric! I was lucky to be standing at the front of the stage. I gave Stevie a wombat (Australian native animal - stuffed, not real.) where in return she shook my hand and said thank you.I was so overwhelmed that I could not say anything in return.it was a dream come true.ever since I was 6 I wanted to meet her.shame I temporarily lost my ability to speak! I thought the Australian press was somewhat harsh, but as mentioned in another review on this website they do not know how to be objective or how to appreciate Stevie's music.having grown up listening to my Mother playing Fleetwood Mac and my first LP being Belladonna it doesn't make sense! Thank you Stevie for your beautiful, warm and heartfelt music! I had the best night and am still on a high from it. You are right, we live in a crazy world.thank you for distracting me from it for a little while.Take care and PLEASE come back! PS. Thank you for introducing Vanessa Carlton! What a highly talented, warm and down to earth person.I will be buying her CDs! Hope she went well in Newtown. Love and Warmest Wishes...
Chris
I attended the Stevie Nicks concert last night in Sydney and I was blown away by how Stevie looked and sounded. A wonderful night of song from an absolute legend. Landslide was just beautiful and another highlight was Stand Back which sounded Better than ever. Stevie you truly are a wonderful singer and I hope we get the chance To see you perform again Down Under. You said Sydney was your favourite place So hopefully you will come back soon. Thankyou for a great night, You rock forever.
Rhiannon Henderson
I attended the Sydney performance of the Gold Dust Tour 2006 tonight the 25th Feb. Stevie was brilliant, fabulous, beautiful, inspiring, amazing, and totally rocked! I am 16, and this was the FIRST time i've attended a live concert by the beautiful Ms Nicks! I have to admit it was more than 100 times better than everyone made it out to be. We got there and got our merchandise (ooooohhh how i love merchandise. but Chris, next time... PLEASE more pictures of the gorgeous one we came to see. we didnt need full pages of picures on each band member PLUS a double spread of the stage and everyones places. the double spread would have been quite enough. She barely ever makes it over here, and when she does we want lots of pictures!) then we took our seats. I personally love Vanessa Carlton, so it was a bonus she happened to be supporting Stevie on this tour. She was beautiful, and made many funny remarks, one of my favourites being the Bush one ("this song in censored in america because i live in bush country and everything is censored") and when she started playing "a thousand miles" (her last song) the opening notes she played, then said "Yes.. i am THAT girl!". On to Stevie. I'll try my hardest not to get swept away in memories, my review has been long enough already! She was totally gorgeous. Did all her songs fabulously, and although i would never wish upon her to screw up, i was silently hoping she'd get swept away in the music between "outside the rain" and "dreams" and miss her start like at Red Rocks in the 80's.(you have to admit, its very cute to see her run across the stage!) She danced, and looked to be having a BALL! I was excited as the concert went for longer than i anticipated and it was like waking up 2 hours before you need to wake up and realising the sweetness of a little more time dreaming. I knew there were some songs she had to do (Edge of 17, Beauty and the Beast) and luckily for me, everytime the next song wasnt one of those songs i felt excited all over again. I was also excited to see somewhere near the beginning a 3rd singer jump into the backing line, and realised it was Ms Lori! Loved Stevies comment to Jana whilst introducing them all... she went on to say how Sharon and Lori and her had been singing together since the 70's.. and added to Jana "You would have been invited too if you had been born!" Love love loved everything about the concert, though was dissapointed to be back in reality! Please please come back again. as often as possible. I love you Stevie, you've helped me become who i am today! You only get better with age, so keep rocking! Thanks to the whole team, you guys were AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Stelios
Just caught Stevie in her one and only Sydney concert. Fantastic!! During her haunting redition of Landside, everyone one in the place was singing along.Amazing warm& friendly energy at this show. Truly the Divine Diva of Rock still holds sway over her life-long, loyal fans! A truly Awesome performance! We love you Stevie!
Caine & Dan
We attended the Sydney Entertainment Centre show on Saturday, February 25th 2005.

Caine’s review: For my first Stevie Nicks performance I was not sure what to expect, pleasantly surprised at how fantastic she sounded. Very happy that she performed some of Fleetwood Mac’s material, highlight for me was definitely without a doubt, Stand Back. Would have liked to have heard some of her bigger hits, Rooms on Fire, I Can’t Wait and Talk to Me, which are my favourite Stevie Nicks songs. Overall a fantastic performance and would definitely go again. Thanks for coming Stevie!

Dan’s review: Stevie was superb at the SEC. Her performance was flawless. She looked and sounded absolutely beautiful. But, that’s what you would expect from Stevie Nicks. Highlights of the show for me where Stand Back, Landslide and Beauty and the Beast. Thank you so much Stevie for gracing Sydney with your presence. It was an honour. Really hope you come again soon.

An absolutely fantastic show, brilliant, Stevie has the most remarkable voice ever, , just loved the costume changes, and brilliant musicians and singers in the band. Hope to see you back here in Sydney again, sooner than later.

For me, just the thought that I was in the same place as this person with this amazing mind that creates this amazing music..that in itself blows my mind. But to hear her sing live aswell....its very hard to put into words. Stevie sounded awesome....there will NEVER be another voice like that. Her band was incredible, being a drummer I always spend alot of time watching them on stage. Her drummer and percussionist were massive, the solos fast and..incredible.. I dont know how else to describe it. Im kind of lost for words, but Stevie thank you for such an amazing night, Im just so grateful that i have had the chance to be there and see it and hear it for myself. Mind blowing.I have to say..when we were driving to the show i said to my friend ' i wander if she will play Fall from Grace?' so when u kicked into that song.. i was so excited I think I nearly jumped out of my skin. Thank you so much! A few years back I saw the Fleetwood Mac tour in sydney, I have the tour poster hanging above my keyboards. i often find myself looking at it with a silly grin on my face, Stevie, last night, you gave me more memories that will give me that same silly grin for a very long time..thank you so much...it was amazing! cheers!
Stephen
Since the moment I first heard Rhiannon and Landslide from the album Fleetwood Mac in the middle seventies I have been transfixed by this amazing woman and her voice. I had seen Stevie perform with Fleetwood Mac a couple of times, once in 1977 and on their most recent australian tour, but never solo. From the opening moments of her show last night I realised how powerful and emotive her songs and voice really are. Surging with excitement as she sang Dreams then began on of her many songs that have stayed with me since it was first released, Stand Back.........i cannot tell you how much i love this song. Rhiannnon and Landslide sent shivers of remembrance through me, as that voice continued to give me goose bumps. Despite already satisfying me with this selection she then began what i consider one of her greatest legacies, Beautiful Child. I almost shrieked too loud when she began. after that, there was nothing more that could be provided to me that hadn;t already. To be really selfish, I wish she had of sung Bella Donna, I Cant Wait and more tracks off the brilliant Trouble In Shangri La. But hey as i said thats just me being selfish. Her voice moves me, her songs I ache for. Thank you Stevie Nicks for everything you have written and sung, you truly are one of the greatest female artists ever and the concert was just wonderful, just wish I had of been right down the front for you to hear my adoration.
Alan
What can I say after seeing Stevie on stage last night. It's the first time for a long time that Stevie has played solo, and my first time seeing her solo. If I ever was spellbound - it was last night. Stevie sounded better than ever - there was a real presence when she came on stage - EVERY eye was looking at her. She took the time out to talk to us - so that for just a moment we could enter HER world, and she made a real point of making EVERYONE there welcome. I loved her honesty, we call that fairdingkom here in Australia. I also really loved the video's being played behind her - the animations of her spinning ( I love it when she spins ) and a whole collage of her life during Landslide, which she dedicated to a 78 year old lady who Stevie sais is her " BIGGEST FAN " was a real highlight. When she sang Rock'n'roll she was wearing this hat with a huge feather in it. She just looked TOO COOL for words - then the final song " Beauty And The Beast " - she had her hair up & was in an evening dress. I took my housemate along, who used to be my lover a long time ago. I wrote a song for him about 12 years ago, so when Stevie sang " Has Anyone Ever Written.........." it was a special moment for us. Stevie - if you ever read this I want you to know you are beautiful, elegant, and a true legend. Thank you SO MUCH for coming back to Oz. You will never know how much your music means to me

What A fantastic show we witness on saturday night at the "entcent" here in sydney.Firstly your support quest who opened the show was some what amazing;what a great up and coming young artist Vanessa Carlton is.Her voice is truly the voice of an angel and that girl is going places in the future with her nice and easy listening music and man didn't sydney love her. Please come back in the near future vanessa we love you dear;your voice has bought a breath of fresh air into the music scene in which it surely needed;thank you for touring downunder with Stevie;i really mean it;your are something. And then after A short break when Vanessa finished quess who came on the stage and the whole place erupted in this loud applause;yep it was firstly the band and then in the sillouette of the darkness Stevie come closer to the microphone and an almighty roar hit the entertainment center {entcent} and then her beautiful stunning face was on the big screens in the back ground of the stage and thats when the magic started.Stevie you sure did put on a show that the people of sydney will not forget in a long time to come;as if you had this rock shopping trolley and you have hand picked the best musicians and the best back up singers and you bought then out to our shores of australia and played some really great;magnificent rock music. What can i say about Mr Waddy Wachtel;the guy knows how to play those guitars;he was something really awesome and electrifying on the night. Also the drummer with the best hair style ive seen in a long time sure did show us he can sure play those skins and not forgetting that other great percussionist next to him was bloody awesome aswel;when the pair combined for that solo act for several minutes was something to be seen before Waddy timed in before the begining of edge of seventeen;take another bow fella's you were bloody great. The whole night was something to remenber for the rest of our lives right from the very first song of vanessa's right up to your version of leds zepps song "rock and roll" {nice version guys you really rocked with that version sure was a "kick ass" version} and when Stevie sang beauty and the beast the whole arena was in a stunning silence. You had this mystifed awe around you when you sang that song and the hairs on the back of my neck sure stood up;truly awesome guys. Thanks must go out to the promoter andrew mcmannis for bringing out stevie to our shores and also her fantastic band you were great on the night and "i cant wait" to view the melbourne concert once it's released on dvd.And before i forget Stevie please don't make another decade or so before you come back and tour again downunder; you just don't know how much us aussies love you and your band and the beautiful back up singers that you have had with you on all of your albums and the fleetwood mac tours for all these years.Once again thank you for touring downunder and showing us the magic;the finesse of vennessa;the fine voice of yours and the whole band produced on the night was nothing short of fantastic and amazing.May you have a great tour for whats left of it and have a safe trip back to the states to you and your band;god bless you all and take good care Stevie.Cheers to all...

I was fortunate enough to attend Stevie’s Gold Dust show in Sydney on Saturday night (25th Feb.). Stevie – you are the most amazing performer I have ever seen. Your voice evokes so much emotion and your passion is there for all to see. I have never been to a show where one song in particular has made me cry but Beauty and the Beast did just that. You are truly THE Rock Goddess. For anyone that has not seen Stevie live, do yourself and your ears a favour – get to a show. I only hope that we see Stevie back in Sydney sooner rather than later. I’m lining up for a ticket already!!! Thank you.

P.S. Vanessa Carlton was fantastic as well.
